Total hours

Required topics

No mandated topics are recorded for this profession in this state. That is not the same as the board having none, so confirm with the board.

Notes. Licensed by the State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision under the Oklahoma Anesthesiologist Assistant Act (59 O.S. 3200 et seq., amended Nov 1, 2024). OAC 435:65-5 requires biennial renewal on or before October 31 with the fee, protocol and proof of malpractice coverage, and sets no CE hours for renewal (hours 0 means none set in the rule text read). The 3 hours HIV/AIDS, 1 hour domestic violence and 2 hours medical errors in the Act apply to initial licensure. Confirm with the board.

Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologist assistants usually also maintain national certification, which has its own cycle. The recertification basics guide explains how that fits alongside state rules.
