Notes. Licensed by DOPL under the Anesthesiologist Assistant Licensing Act (Utah Code 58-70b); licences expire January 31 of even-numbered years. R156-70b-303b makes the CE requirement completion of NCCAA CME and CDQ requirements as shown by current NCCAA certification, with no separate state hours (hours 0 means none beyond NCCAA). Licensees with controlled substance authority also complete the 58-37-6.5 hours.

Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologist assistants usually also maintain national certification, which has its own cycle. The recertification basics guide explains how that fits alongside state rules.
