- Total hours
- Not recorded every 2 years
Required topics
| Topic | Hours | How often | Applies to | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Opioid & controlled-substance prescribing | 3 | Every cycle | Everyone | 3 hours of CE on responsible prescribing of controlled substances or treatment of substance abuse disorders, required with APRN renewal |
Notes. Renewal cycle runs January 1 of odd years to December 31 of even years. An APRN shows competency with current national certification in the recognized role and population focus; APRNs recognized before Jan 1, 1999 without national certification need 40 hours of CE plus 400 hours of APRN practice in the last two years. The rule applies to APRNs generally and does not single out CRNAs.

CAA CME requirements

- Total hours
- Not recorded, and the renewal cycle is not recorded
Required topics
No mandated topics are recorded for this profession in this state. That is not the same as the board having none, so confirm with the board.
Notes. Secondary source; confirm with the board. The CU Anschutz AA program list (states where AAs work by license, regulation or certification, or by physician delegation) and the BYU 2023 list of authorized states do not include Wyoming, so no state licensure for anesthesiologist assistants was found. Not read on a board or statute page.

Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurse anesthetists and anesthesiologist assistants usually also maintain national certification, which has its own cycle. The recertification basics guide explains how that fits alongside state rules.
